Volunteers are integral in helping Nucleus deliver its services across the organisation.

Advice volunteers

Work with paid staff to deliver case work. They help deliver Quick Advice sessions and are able to provide a higher level of social support to more people who may need more social support. Some volunteers have gained skills and knowledge to challenge  wrong decisions up to  tribunal stage.

Front desk placements and admin volunteers

Have helped us to extend our opening hours and access to people calling in outside the Quick Advice sessions times. They also help caseworkers stay on top of paperwork.All volunteers’ work is checked and supervised. We are open to new ideas and possible roles for volunteers if it helps us to improve services and quality.
